Cotton College State University
Cotton College was established in 1901 by Sir Cotton. In 1948 it was made part of Gauhati University. In 2011 Cotton College State University was established. Eventually it became Cotton University in 2017. The design competition for 8 campuses totaling just 29 acres was held in 2015 but with changing status of the institute it was turned null and void.
